Accessibility statement
Staging notice: this statement reflects work completed on the staging build. A final conformance audit and a dated Accessibility Conformance Report should be produced before this site goes to production.
Our commitment
ComForCare Greater Orlando is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, or other assistive technology. We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
What we have implemented
- Semantic HTML with a logical heading hierarchy and landmark regions
- A visible “skip to main content” link, and a single main landmark on each page
- Full keyboard operability, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element
- Colour contrast meeting or exceeding 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and interface components
- Text alternative for meaningful images, and decorative images hidden from assistive technology
- Form fields with programmatically associated labels, hints, required-state indication, and error identification linked to the field
- An error summary at the top of forms that receives focus on a failed submission
- Touch targets at least 44 by 44 pixels
- Support for the operating system “reduce motion” preference
- Text that remains readable when resized to 200% without loss of content or function
- A “prefers contrast” stylesheet that strengthens borders and text contrast
- Descriptive page titles, and a language attribute on the document
What we have not done
We do not use automated accessibility overlay widgets. Overlays do not provide legal compliance and often interfere with the assistive technology people already use. If you see an overlay installed on this site, please tell us.
Known limitations
This is a staging build. The following are known and tracked:
- No independent third-party conformance audit has been completed yet
- Testing so far covers keyboard navigation, heading structure, contrast, and automated checks; full screen-reader testing with NVDA and VoiceOver is pending
- Interactive map content, if added later, may require an accessible alternative
Feedback and accommodation
If you encounter a barrier on this site, or need information in another format, contact us and we will work with you. We aim to respond within two business days.

Assessment approach
Conformance is evaluated through a combination of automated testing, manual keyboard navigation, structural review, and screen-reader testing against WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria.
